What is Joint Replacement Surgery?

Replacing a joint can help reduce pain from damaged or diseased joints, allowing you to move and feel better. Joint replacement surgery enables surgeons to remove damaged or diseased parts of a joint and replace them with new parts or prosthetics made of metal, plastic or ceramic to replicate the movement of a natural and healthy joint.
